Ogden clinches second straight soccer league title

OGDEN — Given the road ahead, the Ogden Tigers needed a match like Friday’s Region 11 finale to get focused.

Warriors top Titans

LAYTON — Stevie Cannavina and an energized defense helped the Northridge Knights claim a key Region 1 boys soccer victory on Tuesday afternoon.

St. Joseph notches eight goals in boys soccer win

OGDEN — The St. Joseph boys soccer team turned back Wendover by an 8-0 score Monday afternoon in 2-A Central league action at Lew Joseph Field.

The game was 2-0 at the half, but the Jayhawks turned on the jets after the break, led in part by goalkeeper Mitch Koehler.

As you may have surmised, Koehler wasn’t in goal.

Koehler had three goas and an assist in a rare match at forward, while David Donlevy tallied four goals and a pair of assists for the Jayhawks, who improved to 5-0-1 in league action, 6-1-3 overall.
