LAYTON — There was a bitter cold breeze blowing across the pitch that dipped temperatures to nearly unbearable conditions Tuesday afternoon during the soccer match between crosstown rivals Northridge and Layton.

CLEARFIELD — Roy High handed Clearfield its first loss of the young prep boys soccer season with a 2-0 shutout victory on Friday afternoon.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Friday afternoon’s match was a rocky and uneven as the field itself, but the Lakers will certainly take and build on the win.
