Longtime grocer blasts proposed tax break for Kaysville Smith's project

FARMINGTON -- A controversial 17-acre commercial development in west Kaysville cleared its first major hurdle Tuesday when the Davis County Commission approved a 50 percent tax deferment.The tax break would run for 15 years based on the 120 to 150 jobs the project will generate in the county.
