OGDEN — The Board of County Commissioners of Weber County set the Commission Chambers as a designated protest area during its weekly Tuesday morning meeting.

Stewart's sister-in-law: Schwarzenegger fan fond of holistic healing, massage

OGDEN — The sister-in-law of Matthew David Stewart went to bat for the accused cop-killer following a hearing Monday in 2nd District Court.

Stewart is charged with aggravated murder and seven counts of attempted aggravated murder in connection with a Jan. 4 shootout with police attempting to serve a drug search warrant at his Ogden home.

OUTreach program to stage rally against bullying, suicide

OGDEN -- Ogden OUTreach, a program for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered teens, is hosting a community rally: "A Community Stands up -- Northern Utah Addresses LGBT Bullying and Suicide" to fight the continuing number of teen suicides, especially among gay teens.

The rally will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Ogden Amphitheater, 343 25th St., Ogden.

Protesters Occupy Ogden

OGDEN -- Freezing temperatures greeted the Occupy Wall Street movement's Ogden debut Saturday morning as about 40 protesters gathered at the front steps of the Ogden Municipal Building.

The nationwide movement has burgeoned in recent weeks to assail, peacefully, the excesses and failures of the nation's biggest banks since 2008 that have fueled the current economic downturn.
