OGDEN -- It's no secret that with Utah's warm and dry climate, rattlesnakes frequent the state's rural areas. However, once in a while, they're spotted in places you wouldn't expect, such as a public park.On Thursday, Louise Curry's dog, KC, was bitten by a snake at Beus Pond Park in Ogden. While the woman and her pet were on a walk, the dog went into some bushes. Curry heard the dog yelping and went to pick it up. She thought it was the dog's bad back troubling it and gave it pain medication. The next day, she found the dog dead.
