When NBC's "Fear Factor" ended its six-year run in 2006, host Joe Rogan figured that was it. But then NBC Universal-owned cable network Chiller started airing reruns of "Fear Factor."
"The repeats got great ratings and that began the dialogue" that led to the show's resurrection, Rogan said in a phone interview late last month. He got messages from his Twitter followers who were watching it, prompting him to check out the reruns. "I looked so young. It's very strange looking at the show you did. I most certainly did it, but I don't remember it," he said. "It was like watching something for the first time ever."
LOS ANGELES -- Living in the farther reaches of basic cable are a growing number of television series about what might be called "ordinary people" at work in what most of us would consider extraordinary jobs. It is lazily tempting, though not quite right, to describe these shows as redneck or blue-collar or rural, but they are mostly set away from big cities in places that -- apart from these shows -- you don't often see on TV: Southern places and prairie places and backwoods places.
LOS ANGELES -- NBA player Kris Humphries asked a judge Thursday to annul his 10-week, highly publicized marriage to Kim Kardashian on the basis that it was fraudulent.
The filing comes roughly a month after Kardashian filed for divorce and apologized to fans.
