North Ogden considers more lenient sign ordinances

NORTH OGDEN — The city will revisit its ordinance regarding temporary signs.

New council members have received requests from some businesses — many from Realtors — asking the city to soften the temporary sign ordinance.

Currently the city does not allow any temporary signs in the parking strip except for those advertising city events. It also does not allow temporary signs on private property, such as open house signs, unless they are put up by the property owner.

The dog, which he and his wife, Joanne, have named Buster, was recently found abandoned ainside a foreclosed home in North Ogden. The dog received donated grooming services from The Little Dog House to clean it up. Townsend has adopted several animals from the shelter over the years and recently had a dog die from cancer after they had owned it for 16 years. (ROBERT JOHNSON/Standard-Examiner)
