Serrano Peppers recalled

 

The following recall has been announced:

SERRANO PEPPERS

DETAILS: Serrano peppers were recalled by World Variety Produce, Inc., of Los Angeles. The recalled peppers were sold in Walmart stores in Wisconsin, Montana, Utah and Wyoming and Jewel-Osco stores in Illinois between the dates of March 1 through March 18.

WHY: They have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

INCIDENTS: There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

HOW MANY: 300 cases.
