Family seminar at Layton Christian Center set for three days

LAYTON -- The public is invited to participate free in the third annual Family Enrichment Seminar scheduled for Friday through Nov. 22 at The Potter's House Christian Center, 108 S. Fort Lane.

The center is in the Fort Lane Shopping Center at the southwest corner of Fort Lane and Gentile Street in Layton.

"This powerful and instructive series of seminars comes at a time when family chords are being challenged as never before, and during a season when many experience deep loneliness and long for family identity," states a church news release on the seminar.

Presenters at the three-day seminar have more than 65 years of marriage and family experience and 50 years of family counseling experience combined.

"The last two annual seminars brought explosive results with many intact testimonies of changed lives and transformed families," states the news release.

"God sets the solitary in families," quoted from Psalms 68:6 in the Old Testament, is a theme of the conference.

The event features Pastor Rick Martinez, of The Potter's House Christian Center in Ogden, who will speak at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21.

Also featured at the event are Pastors Josh Scribner, of The Door Christian Center in West Jordan, who will speak at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and Brian Gougherty, of The Potter's House Christian Center in Layton, who will speak at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 22.
