Sunday, March 7

* Canyon Road Assembly of God, 1390 Canyon Road, celebrating its Missions Month. Activities include special missions emphasis through music each week, parade of flags, special speakers and a missions banquet. Sam Parsons, who has a ministry to those in care centers, will be the guest speaker March 7 at 10:30 a.m. The missions banquet will be Saturday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. This will be a pot-luck gathering at the church. There will be a conversation with a missionary who works overseas via satelite link.

* Community Campaign "The Vision" event, 10 a.m. Dee Events Center, 4400 Harrison Blvd. Members of the community are invited to join with members of Washington Heights Church for a large worship service. More than 3,000 member families will meet -- the first time in a number of years that the whole congregation has met together at one time. Church leaders will ask those present to search their hearts and decide how God wants them to participate in a capital campaign leaders say they are going about in a grass-roots way, starting with the members. Following the service, participants will meet at the church campus, 1770 E. 6200 South in South Ogden. Included at that event will be music and a prayer balloon release.
