Chili cookoff to be at Elim Lutheran

OGDEN — Elim Lutheran Church, 575 23rd St., will have a chili cookoff at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, right after the 10 a.m. worship service. The event is a fundraiser for the World Hunger Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Members of the congregation will bring a pot of their homemade chili to church. The chilis will be numbered for anonymity, and members and guests will be invited to sample each. They may vote for their favorite chili by placing donations of any size into collection jars by each pot.

The winning chili will be determined by the amount donated, and the proceeds will go to ELCA World Hunger.

Chili lovers from the community are welcome. For more information, call the church office at 801-394-5543.
