Zito gets rare chance to play with rock band Train

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Zito and Matt Cain accepted the mic from Train lead singer Patrick Monahan and belted out Journey's "Don't Stop Believin"' as a couple of thousand fans cheered and sang right along.

Guns N' Roses, Chili Peppers in Rock Hall

NEW YORK -- Welcome to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Guns N' Roses.

The seminal rock band of the late 1980s and early '90s, best known for hits like "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain," leads the 2012 class of inductees announced on Wednesday. Also making the cut is the hip-hop trio Beastie Boys; rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers; the late singer/songwriter Laura Nyro; Donovan; and influential British rock group The Small Faces/The Faces, which included Rod Stewart and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

Hollywood Undead know how to put on a show

The Cinco de Mayo Concert at the Great Saltair featured two stages, one indoors and one outside, so at almost any point in the concert you could walk in or out of Saltair and hear a different band.

The stage inside featured Drowning Men, Middle Class Rut and Flogging Molly, while the outdoor stage featured Brogan Kelby, New Medicine, Drive A, 10 years and -- the band I came to see -- Hollywood Undead.

As a concert venue, the Great Saltair has an interesting past, opening its doors for the first time in 1893.

40 years of ROCK ART

Ogden's most rabid music fan has brought his memoirs to the art gallery.

A portion of Mike Correll's collection of more than 500 concert posters, representing 40 years of his rock memories, are on display in a downtown Ogden gallery.

The posters are concrete reminders of his concert-going experiences -- like when he took a three-day trip to see Phish in Coventry, Vt., in 2004.

The highways were closed down by a torrential rainstorm that made travel treacherous, almost impossible.
