OGDEN -- Makenzie Maughan, 19, of Hooper, was chosen Saturday night as Miss Rodeo Ogden.
Maughan is the daughter of Rod and Mindy Maughan. A graduate of Fremont High School, she attends Weber State University.
"I'm just so excited. I didn't know how it was going to turn out," Maughan said. "It was a lot of work, but it was worth it."
She also won the public speaking and appearance competitions.
As Miss Rodeo Ogden, Maughan will help promote Ogden Pioneer Days and will represent the city at the Miss Rodeo Utah pageant.
Chantell Pilcher, 20, of Morgan, was the first runner-up and winner of the photogenics and horsemanship competitions.
Morgan Blackhurst, 20, of Coalville, was second runner-up and winner of the personality competition.
Raeshelle Larsen was named Miss Congeniality.
