ROY — A benefit concert will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Roy High School. Proceeds will be given to the Red Cross for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Local bands Mermaid Baby, Something Fierce and Greg Simpson will perform. There also will be a silent auction and raffle. Proceeds from these will also go to the Red Cross.
Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family and can be bought at the door. The concert is sponsored by Washington Terrace Elementary School.
