SALT LAKE CITY — The FBI has arrested a man accused of disrupting a Delta Air Lines flight and damaging the airplane by running up the aisle shortly after landing and attempting to open an emergency exit.
A test program that allows air travelers who voluntarily offer background information to zip through faster airport security lines without removing shoes, belts and coats will be expanded to 28 new airports, Transportation Security Administration officials said Wednesday.
NORTH SALT LAKE -- A small single-engine plane's safe landing on a dirt road Wednesday was amazing, emergency personnel say.
The Weatherly 620B plane, based in Ogden, made the landing northwest of Salt Lake City International Airport after a cylinder burst in the engine, spraying oil all over the windshield, said Salt Lake City Fire Capt. Mark Bednarik.
