LAYTON — A combination of Christmas and Las Vegas magic gave some area families with children battling cancer a short reprieve Saturday.

LAYTON -- Giving back to the community never tasted better as the Davis Conference Center in Layton recently dished up its annual Breakfast With Santa event for the community.

Started six years ago as an activity to help families kick off the holiday season, the event has turned into an additional opportunity for the city to raise food and money for the Bountiful Community Food Pantry.

Lutheran church accepting toys, clothing for 'Sub for Santa'

LAYTON — Light of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1074 Fairfield Drive in Layton (across from the post office), will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for the “Sub for Santa” program sponsored by Family Connection. The church also will accept coats, hats, gloves, blankets, etc. for Family Connection.

Santa to meet pets at Layton Hills Mall today

LAYTON — Santa Claus is eager to bring toys to good pets.

Shoppers can bring their furry best friends to meet Jolly Saint Nick from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Layton Hills Mall.

All animals must be on a leash or in a cage, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Santa will take pictures with the pets and ask what they want for Christmas.

Pets also can meet with Santa from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 8 and Dec. 15.
