Police look into possible scam

OGDEN -- The Ogden Police Department is investigating whether a grocery service is legitimate.

A woman who lives on Adams Avenue reported that she received a flier advertising a service that would purchase and deliver groceries for her, Lt. Eric Young said. The service requests the person's debit, credit or other financial card information.

The woman thought the service sounded suspicious and it was reported to the police.

However, Ogden police also received a call saying the new service is genuine.

Ogden police are investigating and looking into whether the service is properly licensed.
