SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah teenager is facing felony and misdemeanor charges alleging he and another boy tried to take computer equipment from Kearns High School last month.
A police affidavit filed in 3rd District Court alleges the two males, ages 18 and 16, were seen carrying items out of the school after police responded to an alarm Jan. 23.
The Deseret News reports that police found 30 iPods, two laptop computers and keyboards on the ground next to broken doors at the school.
The 18-year-old, from Kearns, was charged Tuesday with third-degree felony burglary and theft, and misdemeanor failure to stop at the command of an officer and criminal mischief. His name wasn't reported.
Charges against the16-year-old weren't disclosed.
