Scouts, others invited to learn about Ten Commandments during Ogden hike

OGDEN — Ogden-area Boy Scouts and their families can get to know the Ten Commandments from a little different perspective Saturday morning, when the Boy Scouts of America Trapper Trails Council sponsors its second annual Ten Commandments Hike.

The event is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 2615 Grant Ave.

Community honors policeman's ultimate sacrifice

OGDEN -- Dozens of police motorcycles wound their way into the Ogden City Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, leading a procession to honor the passing of one of their own.

Farmington resident Kenneth Jay Keller, born Sept. 5, 1935, died Monday, July 25, 2011. A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Farmington 2nd Ward, 695 S. 200 East. A viewing will be held at the Farmington 2nd Ward from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church before the funeral. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery. Volunteers to pick dyer’s woad today

EDEN — Volunteers will meet at 8:30 a.m. today at Snowcrest Junior High, 2755 N. Highway 162, to help collect dyer’s woad, a noxious plant.
