Police seek information on male juvenile

SYRACUSE — Police are looking for information about a male juvenile who is accused of inappropriately touching teenage girls at parks in Syracuse and neighboring cities.

The girls, ages 13 to 15, were at the following parks: Fremont, Centennial, Rock Creek, West Point Junior High School and West Clinton Park, said Syracuse Police Lt. Tracy Jensen.

The incidents occurred from October 2010 to February 2011. The girls were touched underneath their shirts.

Police are asking parents to talk to their daughters to see if they have been victimized and if they have any information about who the teenage boy may be.

“We want to get him into the system so we can get him the help he needs,” Jensen said. “If we can get him the proper help, it will help prevent him from going on to more severe crimes, which have more severe penalties.”

Anyone with information can call Syracuse Police Department at 801-825-4400 and ask for Detective Zeke Swander.
