Man arrested for trading tobacco for nude pictures

WEST POINT — Davis County Sheriff’s detectives are trying to determine whether there are more victims of a man who they said supplied alcohol and tobacco in exchange for nude pictures of teenagers.

Detectives arrested David Thor Oliver, 39, of West Point, on Friday following a report from Child Protective Services regarding abuse. He is being held in Davis County Jail on no bail.

Oliver appeared in 2nd District Court on Monday. Another hearing is set for May 14.

Thatcher man charged with having sex with 13-year-old

THATCHER -- A 20-year-old Thatcher man was charged this week with having sex with a 13-year-old girl in Idaho.

Bo Brady Burdick, a volunteer firefighter, was charged with one count of interstate travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual contact in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

FARMINGTON -- A Layton man has been charged with 26 felony counts of sexually related crimes against a juvenile, including 10 counts of rape and 10 counts of forcible sodomy.

TACOMA, Wash. -- A Washington state man accused of child sex crimes is being allowed to view child pornography in the Pierce County Jail in preparation for his upcoming trial.
