OGDEN -- The man who pleaded guilty to shooting his father-in-law in church last Father's Day may spend the rest of his years behind bars.Charles Richard Jennings was handed down the sentence of six years to life in prison for attempted murder Thursday afternoon in 2nd District Court.

OGDEN -- Police have arrested a man accused of walking into a Catholic church and shooting a man in the back of the head during Mass on Sunday in Ogden.Investigators say 35-year-old Charles Richard Jennings Jr. was captured Sunday afternoon in nearby Box Elder County after fleeing in a stolen pickup truck.

Police are searching for 43-year-old David Anthony Durham suspected of shooting and critically wounding an officer on the Oregon coast. The gunman fled into the wilderness surrounding Waldport's peninsula, about five miles from Siuslaw National Forest. The search for him entered its third night early Wednesday as 25-member SWAT teams armed with assault rifles searched the area.
