OGDEN — The Weber State Women’s Center on Tuesday will host a single mom’s support group with the discussion “Am I My Own Best Friend or Worst Enemy?”

Nonprofit helps single moms prepare for employment

OGDEN — “There are so many things that are easy for us to get down on ourselves about,” said instructor Marva Sadler in a recent People Helping People workshop.

“We need to be replacing the negative with the positive, making those small, little changes.”

Sadler, who is the People Helping People program manager for Weber and Utah counties, spoke before an audience of 15 single mothers who want to improve their employment opportunities by participating in this free program.

Single moms will meet at WSU

OGDEN -- The Weber State Women's Center on Monday will host "Monday Muffins and Single Moms -- Parenting with Color Code."

The gathering will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge of the Shepherd Union Building. The event is free, but preregistration is required. Call 801-626-6372 or email dhill4@weber.edu. Weber State is at 3848 Harrison Blvd.

OGDEN -- Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd., on Thursday will host its Single Mothers Success Forum, an eight-week series featuring a variety of topics affecting single mothers.
