Park City to extend ski season 1 week

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Mountain Resort has enough snow to stay open an extra week until April 17.

The resort's website says a base snow depth of 120 inches, plus forecasts for more, prompted the extended season.

Powder Mountain, Eagle Point and Deer Valley are all scheduled to close on April 10, while Canyons, Solitude and Snowbasin will remain open until April 17. Brighton Resort, Brian Head and Alta are scheduled to close April 24, though Alta will reopen for a three-day weekend April 29. Snowbird expects to stay open until Memorial Day weekend.
