SALT LAKE CITY -- The number of passengers at Salt Lake City International Airport dropped slightly last year compared with 2008 but numbers have been picking up over the last six months or so.
Airport officials say about 20 million people used the airport in 2009, a 1.6 percent decrease from 2008.
But, they say passenger numbers have increased every month since June 2009. July and August were the busiest months last year.
There are more than 750 flights a day out of the airport. Eight airlines serve 94 cities with non-stop flights.
