KAYSVILLE -- Now that the state has taken action against spice, Kaysville's ordinance is no longer necessary.
The city council is repealing ordinance 10-10-1, which was passed Oct. 5 and regulated the purchase, sale and possession of spice.
"When we wrote the ordinance, we said we didn't want to wait for the state to enact a law, so we passed one ourselves as a city," said Mayor Steve Hiatt.
