Layton splash pad in the works

LAYTON — City Director of Parks and Recreation David Price has wasted no time in moving a splash pad project forward in the city.

Price asked city staff to prepare an area in Ellison Park, where the new water feature will be constructed. He did so prior to a council vote to hire a contractor for the recreational amenity.

The preliminary work means construction of the project will begin immediately, Price said. He has projected the facility could be open for public use by July 4 this year.
