Titans remain unbeaten after 28-14 win over Viewmont

BOUNTIFUL -- The Viewmont Vikings were the friendliest of hosts Friday night as they gave the ball, and the victory to Region 1 foe of Syracuse. The Titans' stingy defense allowed only 7 points in route to a 28-14 win.
Forcing three tournovers in each half, the Titans defence controlled the game from the opening kick. After a scoreless first quarter, sophmore Hunter Dimick picked Vikings quarterback Jeremy Lieber pass and took it to the Vikings' 1. Rick Reardon caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Tanner Russell on the very next play.
Russell found Mitch Tulane in the middle of the endzone for a 14-0 halftime lead, before hitting Tulane again for a score to open the second half.
Viewmont running back Garrett Bushman tried to spark his Vikings to a comeback with a 15-yard touchdown romp.
But Russell ended the charge with a 1 yard connecton with Alex Swanson to regain thier 21-point lead.
Vikings senior Tyler Worsley returned a fumble 69 yards to round out all scores.
Titans DB Taylor Russell setup his offense all night with 3 picks, while Alex Swanson and Chris Jackson each added 1 of thier own. Titans coach Russ Jones was pleased with his teams effort.
4WASATCH 31, MORGAN 28: At Heber City, the Trojans scored with less than a minute remaining only to miss an onside kick attempt, sealing the Wasatch victory.
4BOUNTIFUL 40, LOGAN 7: At Logan, Bountiful's Tyler Farr returned the opening kickoff for an 88-yard score and the Braves never looked back.
4JORDAN 49, SKY VIEW 28: At Smithfield, the Beetdiggers continued their offensive road-show, throttling the Bobcats for their second-straight win.
4MOUNTAIN CREST 48, EAST 0: At Hyrum, the Mustangs continued to make their case as one of 4A's strongest teams in a convincing shutout over the visiting Leopards.
