Weber State-Idaho State game updates
Saturday's game updates from Stewart Stadium:
FINAL SCORE: Weber State 44, Idaho State 17
Weber State takes on Idaho State in its home opener and Big Sky Conference opener.
Idaho State (0-2) takes the opening kick and drives down the field for its first touchdown of the season.
Weber State responds with a solid drive of its own. Very efficient. Cameron Higgins hits Cody Nakamura for a 1-yard TD pass.
Tied 7-7.

ISU responds with a 92-yard passing drive, with Kyle Blum tossing his second TD of the season. The Bengals lead 14-7.
After a Beau Hadley interception, Weber State scores back-to-back TD passes, Higgins to Tim Toone, then Higgins to Bo Bolen on a tipped throw. The Wildcats lead 21-14 and seem to have taken control.

The WSU defense has arrived, and nearly stopped the Bengals in their own end zone. But Kevin Linehan was injured on a scramble for a loose ball, and may be lost for the game to a shoulder injury.
On the ensuing punt, Caldwell Taylor blocked ISU's kick attempt and WSU turned it into a Mike Snoy field goal just before halftime. 24-14.
Just before halftime, WSU had another shot at the Bengals' end zone, but Snoy's field goal hits the uprights.
WSU leads 24-14 at the half, but injuries to Linehan and Nakamura are a concern.

On their second possession, the Wildcats ground down the field, with Trevyn Smith taking the bulk of the workload. Smith the final 20 yards for the scored. WSU leads 31-14 and the rout is on.
