SALT LAKE CITY -- Carlon Brown scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half, leading Utah on a late 9-0 run that clinched the Utes' 68-52 victory over Michigan on Wednesday night.
Freshman Marshall Henderson scored a career-high 22 points and David Foster finished with 10 points, five blocks and six rebounds for the Utes (5-4), who overcame turnovers with rebounding and defense for their second straight win.
Utah outrebounded Michigan 41-25 and held the Wolverines (4-4) under 30 percent shooting in the second half.
Manny Harris had 25 points to lead Michigan, which has lost four of five since opening the season 3-0.
DeShawn Sims added 10 points for Michigan and was the only other Wolverines player to score in double figures.
Harris was also Michigan's leading rebounder with just six as the Utes dominated inside, outscoring the Wolverines 38-16 in the paint and pulling down more defensive boards (29) than Michigan had in total rebounds.
Utah went 14-for-24 from the field in the second half while holding Michigan to eight field goals on 28 shots in the final 20 minutes.
Utah fans in the student section celebrated in the final minute by chanting "Just like football!" -- referring to the Utes' win at Michigan to open the 2008 season.
Luka Drca had 11 points and six assists for Utah.
The Wolverines were able to get within a point late in the second half before Utah broke it open with nine straight points. Harris hit a 3-pointer to cut Utah's lead to 55-51, but the Utes took off from there. Foster banked in a jumper, Brown hit a 3-pointer and then stole the ball and took it for a layup through traffic that put Utah up 62-51 with 3:44 left in the game.
It was Utah's largest lead and Foster followed that with a layup with 3:13 to go, increasing the run to 9-0.
The Utes had pulled away at the end of the first half with a 12-6 run to end the period. Kim Tillie converted two three-point plays during the run and Jay Watkins added an exclamation dunk to give the Utes a 35-27 lead at halftime. The Utes outrebounded the Wolverines 22-9 and outscored Michigan 18-8 in the paint.

* NO. 1 KANSAS 99, RADFORD 64: At Lawrence, Kan., Cole Aldrich had 15 points and nine rebounds, and No. 1 Kansas used a dominating first half to rout Radford.
Kansas (8-0) negated burly Radford center Art Parakhouski with double teams in the first half and hounded the rest of the Highlanders into poor shooting for its sixth win of at least 30 points this season. Sherron Collins had 15 points and eight assists, and Xavier Henry added 13 points to help the Jayhawks extend the nation's longest home winning streak to 47 games.
Parakhouski scored all of his 21 points in the second half for the Highlanders (4-3).
* NO. PURDUE 6 86, VALPARAISO 62: At West Lafayette, Ind., JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore each scored 19 points to help No. 5 Purdue beat Valparaiso.
Moore tied a career high with five 3-pointers for the Boilermakers (8-0), who are off to their best start since the 1993-94 season.
Brandon Wood had 21 points and nine rebounds, and Cory Johnson had 11 points for Valparaiso (3-6).
Purdue shot 53 percent overall and made 10 of 22 3-point attempts. The Boilermakers had 20 assists on 29 field goals.
Purdue's Robbie Hummel went 3-for-3 from 3-point range and scored 15 points after shooting 21 percent from 3-point range over the first seven games. Keaton Grant scored 10 points and Chris Kramer had seven assists and three steals for the Boilermakers.
* NO. 6 WEST VIRGINIA 68, DUQUESNE 39: At Morgantown, W.Va., Kevin Jones scored 16 points, Wellington Smith added 11 and Da'Sean Butler scored 10 lead West Virginia.
The Mountaineers (6-0) bounced back from a 10-day layoff and had little trouble beating the Dukes (6-3) for the seventh straight time. The Mountaineers jumped ahead by double digits four minutes into the game and led by as many as 34 points midway through the second half.
Damian Saunders led the Dukes with 12 points.
West
* MEMPHIS 76, MONTANA STATE 51: At Memphis, Tenn., Elliot Williams scored 22 points and Wesley Witherspoon added 13 points as Memphis won its fifth straight with a victory over Montana State.
Williams, who was 8-for-15 from the floor, recorded his sixth straight game with at least 20 points. Memphis (6-1) never trailed, eventually building the lead to 31.
Branden Johnson led the Bobcats (4-4) with 12 points -- the only Montana State player in double figures. Bobby Howard, Montana State's leading scorer at 15.6 per game, was limited to six points on 3 of 8 from the field.
* BOISE STATE 79, IDAHO STATE 67: At Pocatello, Idaho, Ike Okoye scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots as Boise State overcame a slow start and defeated Idaho State.
La'Shard Anderson added 15 points and seven assists and Robert Arnold had 13 points for the Broncos (5-3).
Broderick Gilchrest led the Bengals (2-7) with 20 points while Amorrow Morgan had 14 points.
Boise State led by 12 early in second half, but Idaho State twice closed to within two, the last time at 60-58 with 4:41 remaining. The Broncos responded with a 19-9 run to end the game.
