Ogden High hosted 13 schools in the Ogden Team Tennis Invitational this past weekend, with matches at Ogden, Ben Lomond and Bonneville high shools' courts as well as Mount Ogden Park. The tournament included schools from the 1-A to 5-A ranks.
Park City was the top team, followed by East, Mountain Crest, Highland and Sky View. Juan Diego finished sixth, followed by host Ogden, Weber, Grantsville, Waterford, Logan, Bear River, St. Joseph and Fremont.
Sports recruiting seminar set at Weber
For student-thletes, the decision to participate in the college recruitment process can be overwhelming. Student athletes must evaluate both their athletic and academic performance and take the necessary steps to ensure they can pursue a collegiate career.
On Sept. 8, sports training expert and recruiting educat-ional speaker Paul Putnam will clear up the misconceptions of the college recruitment process through the seminar, "College Recruiting Simplified," at Weber High at 12:30 p.m.

KJZZ-TV to broadcast weekly grid games
For the fifth consecutive year, KJZZ-TV will once again broadcast the UHSAA high school football championships presented by Farmers Insurance as well as weekly games of the week. The games will be simulcast on KFNZ-AM 1320.
Utah Blaze plans to honor Ironman of Week
The Utah Blaze will honor a weekly Ironman of the Week for in-state prep football performances. Springville senior Marcus Case was the first weekly winner.
