OGDEN -- The Weber State University women's soccer team kicks off a five-match homestand this afternoon when the Wildcats take on unbeaten St. Mary's College at Wildcat Soccer Field.
Match time between the 'Cats and Gaels is set for 3 p.m. today and will be the first-ever meeting between the two western schools in women's soccer.
Weber State enters the match at 0-2, falling to instate rivals Utah State and Brigham Young the past two Fridays. St. Mary's is 2-0-0 and coming off a 4-3 overtime win over North Florida on its home field in Moraga, Calif.
Junior midfielder/forward Ari Wood and freshman midfielder Alyssa Amano have scored the two goals for Weber State so far this season, with Wood earning the assist on Amano's goal to give her a team-best three points.
