OGDEN -- Ogden won their season franchise-record 43rd game in fine fashion Saturday night, raining down 19 hits with four home runs on the Casper Ghosts on their way to a 15-4 victory at Lindquist Field.
"I don't think these guys even knew we were close to the record," Ogden manager Damon Berryhill said. "These guys work hard and come out to play every night. This is a good accomplishment and a nice milestone but we just have to keep focused and get ready for the playoffs."
Five Raptors had three hits and league MVP candidate Jake Lemmerman (.360) went 3-for-4 at the plate, smacking his 12th homerun and driving in his 43rd and 44th RBI's.
Casper jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first when Corey Dickerson's one-out double was followed by a two-run blast to straight center field from Ryan Casteel.
Ogden didn't take long to respond as lead off man Leon Landry sent his fourth homer to the same spot Casteel's cleared.
Landry's dinger was followed by Lemmerman's 24th double of the season. Lemmerman would tie the game at two on a base hit from Nick Akins.
Casper took the lead again in the second as Ogden starter Red Patterson (5-1, 3.02 going in) gave up his second home run of the night, a solo shot to Jordan Ballard.
Ogden equalized in the bottom of the inning as Jonathan Garcia started with a lead off double, coming around to score after Chris Henderson's stand up double to left field.
A solo shot to left from Lemmerman -- his fourth in as many games -- put Ogden up 4-3 in the bottom of the third.
Ogden's defense picked up in the fourth after a near impossible double play courtesy of Lemmerman, Casio Grider, and Henderson, followed by Patterson's fourth strikeout of the night.
The Raptors held Casper to one run through the last seven innings while putting up 12 more of their own, highlighted by a three-run shot from Jonathan Garcia in the fourth and a two-run blast in the eighth from Grider.
Ogden (19-12 second half; 43-27 overall) closes out the series with Casper (17-15) tonight before going on the road for a four-game split set with the Orem Owlz.
