LOGAN -- Brian Green scored 17 points off the bench to lead Utah State past Idaho State 71-48 Tuesday night at the World Vision Invitational at the Smith Spectrum.
Tai Wesley added 11 points for the Aggies (9-2), who built a big lead early and cruised to their fourth straight win.
Broderick Gilchrest had 19 points for Idaho State (3-7). The Bengals trailed 36-20 at halftime and never got closer than 13 points in the second half.
Green hit 5 of 7 3-point attempts. The Aggies shot 61 percent from the field in the second half, and 53 percent for the game. The Utah State bench also outscored their Bengal counterparts 40-15.
Utah State faces Western Michigan tonight, while Idaho State squares off against Troy.
* UC DAVIS 74, SOUTHERN UTAH 65: At Davis, Calif., Eddie Miller scored 20 points and Ryan Sypkens added 16 as UC Davis shot 55 percent in the second half to pull away from Southern Utah.
* RUNNIN' UTES TAKE ON BUTLER AT DIAMONDHEAD CLASSIC: The Utah men's basketball team (7-3) takes on 2010 NCAA runner-up Butler (6-4) tonight in the opening round of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamondhead Classic in Honolulu.
Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. Utah will also have tournament games on Thursday and Saturday.
