ROY -- The Southwest Branch of the Weber County Library is holding a gaming tournament on Jan. 8. The tournament will feature old-school Nintendo and Super Nintendo games, including Super Mario, Tetris, Pac Man and Donkey Kong, mainly to attract teenagers who have nostalgia for them.
"It's a good way to get teens into the library," said Jessica Whetmen, assistant branch manager. The winner will receive a book, a two-liter bottle of soda and a candy bar.
The library invites gamers to call or stop by to register for the free tournament. The library can accommodate about 50 players, Whetmen said.
