ECHL league suspends 11 after Alaska mayhem

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The ECHL has issued eleven suspensions after several fights in a minor-league hockey game between the Bakersfield Condors and the Alaska Aces.

The Anchorage Daily News reports that the 5-4 Alaska victory on Friday night was marred by fighting at the end of the game.

Three Alaska players received 11 games worth of suspensions, including Alex Dzielski, Scott Burt and Chris Langkow. Aces coach Brent Thompson was also suspended one game.

Six Bakersfield players received suspensions, along with a one-game suspension for Condors coach Marty Raymond.

Each suspended player and coach was also fined an undisclosed amount, as were the two teams.

The fights began when Bakersfield's Guillaume Lefebvre traded punches with Aces goaltender Gerald Coleman.
