TULSA, Okla. -- The Utah Blaze continue to battle all kinds of issues as they go into tonight's Arena Football League battle with the Tulsa Talons.
Game time is 6 p.m. at Bok Center.
Last week, Utah fell to the Arizona Rattlers 72-37 at home in a game where the offense was not clicking, the defense was adequate, but the special teams play was abyssmal.
"The good news is we're still in the playoff hunt," said offensive coordinator Matthew Sauk. "We need to put this game behind us and move on. Tulsa is looking for that same playoff spot we are, so we have to start getting ready now."
Sauk will take over for coach Ron James, who did not travel with the team and is in Salt Lake City dealing with an undisclosed health issue.
Despite the two-game losing skid, the Blaze are currently holding on to the fourth playoff spot in the National Conference. One game behind the Blaze sits Tulsa (4-7), waiting to advance into that elusive final position.
Tulsa has lost two in a row, losing both contests on the final play of the game.
Earlier this week the Blaze signed DB Dante Barnes and OL/DL Dan DeMaster. The Blaze also placed OL/DL Justin Rindt to the injured reserve list.
