SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Blaze played a near-perfect second half of football on Saturday night to demolish their four-game losing streak, defeating the Pittsburgh Power 81-40 at EnergySolutions Arena.
Former Utah State standout receiver Aaron Lesue was the big star, catching five touchdown passes from Tommy Grady on the game.
Utah improved to 5-6 on the season and remains in an AFL football playoff spot.
Pittsburgh fell to 7-6 on the season.
After several disheartening losses over the past month, coach Ron James squad was locked into a back-and-forth battle with the expansion Power. Ahead 34-27 just before halftime, Grady and Lesue hooked up on a 1-yard scoring pass to give the Blaze an edge.
Utah outscored its visitor 47-13 after the break.
Alvance Robinson caught a pair of TD passes, while Grady also hooked up with Chris Bocage, Jason Boone and Ernie Pierce.
TJ Raymond recovered a fumble for Utah on the first play of the game.
Utah hosts the Kansas City Command on Friday at EnergySolutions Arena.
