Grant helps revamp storytelling festival

A grant from the National Storytelling Network will help Farmington revamp its annual storytelling festival, scheduled for Jan. 22.

Sarah Hale, arts and events coordinator, said Farmington was one of only seven communities in the U.S. to receive a special grant for the storytelling event and she said the funds will allow the city to create a student teller outreach program in local schools and invite a nationally accredited storyteller to the festival.
