Syracuse FFA student earns scholarship

LAYTON -- Paige Schidlack, a Syracuse High School senior, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Ed Kenley Ford and Ford Motor Company.

The scholarship is presented annually to an FFA student in Davis School District and is one of 526 scholarships presented by Ford Motor Company and local dealerships throughout the country.

Schidlack plans to attend Snow College in the fall and work toward a degree in wildlife management.

"I want to do stuff with wild mustangs," she said.

The award was presented to her recently at Ed Kenley Ford by truck manager Lee Vohs. Her FFA adviser is Doug Stokes.

The Built Ford Tough -- FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA members' achievements and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements, according to a news release.
