BOSTON -- Just hours before one of the Boston Marathon suspects and his brother allegedly gunned down a campus police officer, authorities say he exchanged a series of text messages with a friend who'd become suspicious after seeing what looked like a familiar face being flashed on television.

BOSTON -- The angry and grieving mother of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects insists that her sons are innocent and that she's no terrorist.

 WASHINGTON -- U.S. intelligence agencies added the mother of the Boston bombing suspects to a government terrorism database 18 months before the bombings, two officials told The Associated Press. She called it "lies and hypocrisy" and said she has never been linked to crimes or terrorism.

OGDEN — Ogden police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched Shadow Valley Elementary School in Ogden on Tuesday, looking for an explosive device after a threatening letter was found in the school. All the students were evacuated, and parents were called to pick up their children.

The scene resembled an investigation and evacuation of students at Mountain View Elementary School in Layton after a pipe bomb was found on that school’s roof Monday.
