Pleasant View council approves heavy truck route

PLEASANT VIEW -- City council members approved a commercial heavy truck route that will use Elberta Drive and Pleasant View Drive and head trucks west on their route out of the city to U.S. 89.

Council members struggled a bit with how to handle local deliveries such as the delivery of furniture. The ordinance now states local deliveries by truck should take the most reasonable route available in Pleasant View and into an adjacent city.

"For that matter, if their destination point is their shop in Harrisvillle, they could take the most direct route to their shop," said City Administrator J.J. Allen.

Behind the garage, water from the south end of Ben Lomond Golf Course was overflowing into the backyard of his home on the 400 West block of 1550 North in Harrisville.
