Ogden residents oppose bonding for water improvements

OGDEN — Water was on fire Thursday night as city officials held a heated town hall meeting to discuss the recent water and utility rate study.

The city is considering bonding to pay for about $45 million in needed infrastructure improvements that range from replacing old pipeline to a total replacement of the city’s water treatment plant in Ogden Canyon.

Town hall meeting set for tonight in Ogden

OGDEN -- The city council will hold a town hall meeting to discuss the ongoing water and sewer utility rate study and receive public input.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at the Ogden Municipal Building, 2549 Washington Blvd.

Options will be presented to address the city’s water and sewer utility rates and infrastructure needs, and city staff will provide responses to frequently asked questions by residents.

A public hearing on utility rates and the Capital Improvement Plan, and public input on the culinary water and storm sewer master plans will be held on May 1.

Rep. Lee Perry plans town hall meeting Friday on House District 29 issues

FARR WEST -- Rep. Lee Perry will meet with his constituents in the newly created Utah House of Representatives District 29 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Venture Academy Charter School, 1500 W. 400 North.

This legislative town hall meeting is for residents of eastern Brigham City, Perry, Willard, South Willard, Plain City, Farr West, Marriott-Slaterville, northwest Ogden, north West Haven and Taylor.

Roy to hold its third town meeting

ROY -- Residents here are invited to a town meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Midland Elementary School, 3100 W. 4800 South, to voice any concerns they have with the city.

This is the third in a series of four meetings the city council has held this year in four main areas of Roy.
