OGDEN — All-American Amber Henry set a new Stewart Stadium record on Saturday in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:22.96 to highlight Weber State’s two-day performance in college track and field. The time beat the previous stadium record by more than five seconds.

While Utah track and field athletes set solid marks at this past week’s invitationals, a group of elite competitors participated in the Arcadia Invitational in California.

The Darts earned team titles at the Davis Super Meet last week.

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- The Weber State men’s team finished fourth and the women’s team took fifth place at the Big Sky Conference indoor track and field championships Saturday in Bozeman, Mont.

The Wildcat men’s team totaled 73.5 points to finish fourth overall. Northern Arizona won the meet with 143.5 points, followed by Montana State and Sacramento State.

The star of Saturday’s action for the Wildcats was Matt White who captured first place in the 400 meters with a career best time of 47.57. That time ranks as the fourth best time in the event in WSU indoor history. White also finished second in the 200 meters at 21.69, totaling 18 points for the Wildcats.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — After five regular season meets the Weber State men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete at the 2013 Big Sky Conference indoor track and field championships this weekend in Bozeman, Mont. All 11 Big Sky schools will compete at the meet. 

The championships began with the women’s pentathlon Thursday. The men’s heptathlon will be Friday morning. The rest of the meet will start Friday afternoon. There will be finals in 11 events on Friday along with preliminaries in many running events. The remaining 22 events will be concluded on Saturday.
