PLEASANT VIEW -- A project may shorten some yards and steepen driveways from 1000 West to 900 West along Pleasant View Drive.
City Administrator J.J. Allen said new curb, gutter and sidewalk will stretch from 800 West to the stairs at the park. There also needs to be either a fence or a retaining wall.
"Most won't like it ... but the road needs to come out where it should be," said Mayor Doug Clifford.
Other upcoming street projects include a walking path along Pleasant View Drive and repairing water damage and filling in road base at 500 West and 4125 North, which Allen said the city couldn't do last year because of overages on the 900 West project.
