OGDEN -- State Road 134 (4700 West) has been closed at 2700 South in West Haven due to a collapsed culvert, the Utah Department of Transportation announced this afternoon.
UDOT maintenance crews are working to repair the roadway, which was closed when the collapse occurred and the roadway surface began to subside. Maintenance supervisors at the scene hope to have the roadway reopened to traffic within the next two hours, UDOT said at 4 p.m.
Until that happens motorists are advised to seek alternates, particularly if their travel is time-sensitive. The north side of the closure is accessible via SR-39 (12th Street) in West Haven, while the south side of the closure is open to motorists via SR-37 (4000 South) from SR-108 or SR-126 in Roy.
