SANDY — Police say a bicyclist has been killed after being hit by a TRAX light-rail train in Sandy.
Sandy police Sgt. Troy Arnold says the 32-year-old man was crossing TRAX lines near 9000 South on Thursday morning and was hit by a northbound train. Arnold says the man died on the way to the hospital.
Investigators think the man may have been wearing headphones and couldn't hear the TRAX conductor sounding the horn several times.
The man's name was not immediately released.
