OGDEN -- Four teenagers have been arrested after police say they went on a BB-gun shooting spree over the weekend.

Police watching for gang relocation

OGDEN -- Area police officials are keeping a close eye on whether Trece gang members, pressured by an injunction in Ogden, are moving to neighboring cities where police attention may not be so intense.

After three months of enforcement, police in surrounding Weber County cities say they are not yet seeing any spillover of gang members leaving Ogden.

Treces injunction causing members to move out of Ogden?

OGDEN -- Christmas marked 90 days since the Ogden Trece Injunction went into effect. The numbers aren't huge yet for enforcement of the state's first gang injunction -- about 20 arrests for failure to abate a public nuisance, including two of members found with drugs or weapons that led to felony charges.

Trece member charged in South Ogden incidences

SOUTH OGDEN -- Charges have been filed against a 28-year-old man who police say attempted to steal a car and shot a woman on Highway 89 on Saturday.

Henry Sosa, 28, was booked into Weber County Jail with charges of aggravated robbery, attempted homicide, possession of meth with intent to distribute in a drug-free zone, and two charges of possession of firearms by a restricted person.

Sosa, a Trece gang member, attempted to steal a car from a 63-year-old man leaving his apartment on the 4500 South block of 475 West at 8:30 a.m.

Man identified as Trece member a suspect in two crimes

WASHINGTON TERRACE — An attempted car robbery in Washington Terrace at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday is tied to an earlier shooting on Highway 89, South Ogden police said.

As a 63-year-old man was leaving his apartment on the 4500 South block of 475 West to go to work, he came face to face with a man holding a black semiautomatic handgun down and away to his side.

Gang member charged with attempted homicide on Highway 89

SOUTH OGDEN -- A 28-year-old Treces gang member is in custody facing charges of trying to kill a woman while she was driving on the highway.

A 60-year-old woman was driving west on U.S. Highway 89 with her 40-year-old daughter-in-law at 7:15 a.m. Saturday. The suspect pulled up alongside them in a dark sports-utility vehicle near 1050 East, shouted something and fired three shots at their car. He then drove off.

One bullet grazed the driver's chin, breaking only the skin, police said. She was treated at the hospital and released.

A no-show in Trece trial

OGDEN -- A reputed member of the Ogden Trece street gang failed to show up for the first trial scheduled on violations of the new injunction against the gang.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Attorneys representing members of the Ogden Trece and the American Civil Liberties Union filed petitions Monday with the Utah Supreme Court seeking an immediate appellate review of a street gang injunction imposed by a judge last week.
