LOGAN -- The Cache County executive is proposing pay raises of around 5 percent for county officers.
Lynn Lemon says compensation for the county auditor, treasurer, clerk and recorder have fallen below salaries for officers in other smaller counties.
He says the Cache County officials went without a raise last year.
Lemon tells The Herald Journal of Logan he won't take a salary hike, and neither will County Attorney James Swink, the county's highest paid officer at nearly $100,000 a year.
The pay raises for the others could be adopted as soon as Tuesday by the County Council.
The council also will consider giving itself a $437 raise to $10,000.
