NORTH OGDEN -- A young deer died Saturday after repeatedly running into fences. A woman called police when she saw a deer running into her backyard fences. The deer eventually stumbled off and fell over, said North Ogden Police Officer Jason Child.
When officers arrived, they found the deer was dead. Police brought out the Division of Wildlife Resources, but they were not able to find any obvious reasons why the deer died, Child said.
Child theorizes the animal's death could have been due to over exertion.
"The lady had some dogs, the neighbor had dogs, that could've gotten it worked up," Child said. "It could have had a heart attack of sorts."
